CONFIDENTIAL got the chance to check out Christmas on the Cobbles this week. It's the new Xmas attraction at Coronation Street The Tour that lets fans experience the magic of a Weatherfield Christmas for themselves.
It's the perfect Christmas day out for Corrie watchers
The tour began with a trip into Corrie Christmas past where we got to see some of the soap's most dramatic 25 December scenes. Then we were off to the studio to see sets such as Gail’s house and the Duckworth’s house, all dressed up with trees, tinsel, lights, the lot.
We got to sit in The Rovers and had our picture taken behind the bar. But the best bit was seeing the Street all set up for Christmas: snow falling onto white rooftops and gardens, a brass band playing carols and the Corrie theme tune. It really made the place feel special.
Hats off to our guide Duncan who really knew his stuff. You could tell that he loves everything Coronation Street.
Even though it was still only November, we left feeling thoroughly festive. It's the perfect Christmas day out for Corrie watchers.
