ON SATURDAY morning March 9, two men attempted to drag a woman into a car in Debdale. Police have released an E-fit of the suspect in hopes that anyone who recognises him, or has any information, will come forward.
Thanks to the bravery of the victim she has worked with our forensic imaging specialists to produce a good E-fit.
At around 10.45pm, a black VW Golf pulled up alongside a woman walking alone on Reddish Lane. After striking up a conversation the two men attempted to grab the women, and force her into the vehicle. The woman was luckily able to fight off her attackers before running away as the offenders drove off.
Detective Constable Dave Ogden addresseD concern from the public about the attack: "I do not want to cause any alarm in the community but it is right that we should warn people about what happened so they can be on their guard should they see this individual. Thanks to the bravery of the victim she has worked with our forensic imaging specialists to produce a good E-fit, so I would ask people to look very carefully at the image and if you either recognise this man, or see him, please call police immediately."
