THE FIRST ever Castlefield Food Festival takes place this weekend and Confidential will be live blogging from the event across the whole weekend.
There’ll be great grub and a party atmosphere on the Castlefield sand
You can expect food from far and wide – there’ll be fried buttermilk chicken sandwiches with sides of slaw, corn on the cob, Spanish paella, mountains of fudge and locally-sourced goodies like the Manchester egg.
As well as stocking up your stomach and your larder at the markets, you can also take inspiration from the demo kitchen where local heroes including BBC's Kate Goodman, chef Robert Owen Brown and Confidential’s own Lottie Moore will be cooking up a storm on Saturday.
There’ll be great grub and a party atmosphere on the Castlefield sand with an eclectic mix of music including Tarantino tribute act, A Band Apart.
