A BLACK doubledecker bus brought the Northern Lights experience to Manchester’s Exchange Square on a whistlestop weekend visit to publicise the delights of Finnish Lapland.
The specially designed bus has a blacked out top deck with a Northern Lights simulation. Visitors just plug in, lie back and get their very own three minute Northern Lights experience for free.
The Lappish styled bottom deck gives visitors the chance to enter a 'life swap' competition with Lappish people while sampling Lappish drinks and reindeer crisps!
Those keen to visit Lapland but not fortunate enough to win a life swap place can take advantage of direct charter flights from Manchester with Inghams.
The tour operator has three and four night Santa Breaks programmes to the resorts of Levi and Yllas throughout December that take in husky safaris, snowmobiling,a private meeting with Santa and the chance to see the spectacular Northern Lights. The Inghams Lapland programme runs through to March.
