Grammy award-winning, Tony award-winning and Olivier award-winning (whew, that’s a lot of awards) musical smash hit Jersey Boys is heading to the Palace Theatre in September for the launch of its first ever UK tour.

The story tells the rags-to-riches tale of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, from their humble beginnings on the wrong side of the tracks to their induction into the Rock ’n’ Roll  Hall of Fame before they even turned 30.

It’s an uplifting, feelgood musical that has been giving  pleasure to millions around the world since it debuted on Broadway in 2006.

The musical tells the story of how four boys from New Jersey became one of the most successful bands in pop history and, as you might expect, it’s jam-packed with their hit songs: Beggin’, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, December, 1963 (Oh What a Night), Big Girls Don’t Cry, My Eyes Adored You, Let’s Hang On (To What We’ve Got), Bye Bye Baby, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Working My Way Back to You, Fallen Angel, Rag Doll and Who Loves You.

West End star, Tim Driesen, will be heading the cast as Frankie Valli. He made the role his own in the West End production and has also starred as Joey Primo in Rock of Ages and Adrian Banks in Never Forget.

The UK tour of Jersey Boys will be staged by the entire original Broadway creative team, bringing the bright lights of Broadway to Manchester. With a trophy cabinet full of awards to its name, Jersey Boys is one to watch.
