It must be a pain to listen to all those dodgy festive puns so the Hyatt Regency Hotel is doing something to celebrate traditional Christmas names instead.
The team who, launched the search for cocktail-lovers called Carol or Noel aren't expecting a rush at the bar – the name Carol is now officially extinct even though it was a regular in the most popular baby name lists between 1936 and 1950.
The team at Hyatt explained: “How many Carol and Noels do you know who dread the usual Christmas jokes about their name? Well, now they can embrace this festive season and enjoy their cocktail of choice on us.
“You don’t need to pre-book – just pop in to our bar and show some ID to prove your first name is either Carol or Noel and then sit back and enjoy an early Christmas gift from us.”
So Carol or Noel can bring some ID even if you definitely look old enough to drink and then choose a cocktail of their choice to enjoy in the comfort of the Laureate Restaurant, the Graduate Bar or The Atrium.
And if you’re s enjoying a work do at the Hyatt Regency, tell all the Carols and Noels in the bar to get to the bar pronto. It’s a great place for an office party, a festive shopping trip stayover or a meal with friends.
Christmas is in full swing at the Hyatt Regency Hotel with a choice of packages to choose from, including the festive platter for just £29 per person with a choice of Prosecco or orange juice on arrival and a platter of festive favourites including turkey and cranberry mini brioche, truffled mac and cheese balls, smoked salmon blinis and the obligatory pigs in blankets.
Festive canapé packages from £22 per person is the perfect pick-me-up after a spot of Christmas shopping and a more substantial three-course festive menu at £40pp for a family get-together or work party feels like a real treat.
