FAIR play to NORFOX, a charity supported by the North West’s construction and property industry. They’ve raised £7,500 to help children’s groups.

The event has become a  firm fixture on the property/construction calendar

Not a bad effort for a lunch time in the Castlefield Rooms at Dukes.

Beneficiaries include Medcare, which has treated 50,000 children at its Wellspring Children’s Medical Centre in Uganda since it opened in 2008.

The picture is of NORFOX co-chair Ian Hall of City & Cheshire and Medcare chairman Pauline Hutchinson with a cheque for £4,000.  They are at Manchester Airport which also supports Medcare.

Local charities to benefit from NORFOX are The Booth Centre for the Homeless in Manchester; ADS, a leading UK drug and alcohol charity operating with young people in the North West and The Seashell Trust which provides a creative, happy and secure environment for vulnerable and disabled children throughout the North West.

Said the other co-chair of NORFOX Stewart Grant of Pozzoni : “The event has become a  firm fixture on the property/construction calendar and each year now we raise more and more money to help a diverse range of children’s charities and projects.”

Here’s the Norfox website, which does need a bit of updating.
