For fish lovers, the red mullet fillet comes with a fennel and saffron broth, rosemary crisps and almond aioli, while meat-eaters might be tempted by the breast of Penrith chicken, pan fried and served with earthy roasted leek, king oyster mushroom and truffle velouté. Finally, designed for couples to share and just made for Valentine’s Day is a cannon of lamb Wellington. Frankly, it’d be rude not to.

To finish, stick with savoury and tuck into the selection of country cheese with chutney and crackers, our take your pick out of two sweets: banana Tarte Tatin with rum and raisin ice cream and honeycomb, to share, or passion fruit and lime cheesecake with caramelised white chocolate ice cream, to keep to yourself.
