POPULAR late-night tiki den, The Liars Club, has launched a range of frozen cocktails to put on your summer bucket list. It also offers some of the sunniest outdoor space in the city centre.

Already known for its exotic cocktail creations, The Liars Club has really upped the ante with its refreshing new range.

A contemporary and fun spin on classic cocktails, the drinks are sure to cool you down when it heats up outside. After all, isn’t brain freeze what summer is all about?

Frozen concoctions include tiki classics like Missionary’s Downfall (Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum, peach liqueur, pineapple, honey and mint) and Three Dots And A Dash (Duppy Share Rum, Clement Creole Orange Shrub, Orange, pimento and bitters).

If you’re looking for something slightly less frozen, there’s the Plantation Pineapple Daiquiri (Plantation Pineapple Rum, lime and sugar) but note this is subject to availability as The Liars Club’s Plantation Rum has been flying out like no-one’s business.

There are also new twists on popular cocktails including the Tiki Twister (Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum, Licor 43, pineapple and Twister lolly), Smashing Solero (Bacardi Carta Fuego, Licor 43, orange, passionfruit and Solero lolly) and Bounty Hunter (Koko Kanu, Licor 43, crème de cacao and Bounty bar).

The icy new introductions mean that the bar will be a go-to destination for anyone looking to kick back and enjoy some sublime summery drinks.

Sun-seekers can enjoy them on the terrace on The Square With No Name which The Liars Club shares with sister venue Crazy Pedro’s. So if you’re feeling peckish, why not pop next door for a slice of pizza? Wised-up locals already know the area turns into a bona fide sun trap when summer hits – just don’t forget to slap on the sun cream.

Lyndon Higginson, executive director or The Liars Club, Crazy Pedro’s and Cane & Grain explained: ‘As the birthplace of tiki in Manchester, everyone knows the sun always shines in The Liars Club. We wanted to create something different for the hot weather and think we’ve really hit the nail on the head with our summer specials. There’s definitely a time and a place for frozen cocktails and the time is now and the place is The Liars Club.’

The Liars Club is open Monday – Sunday, 5pm – 4am. If you can’t drink frozen stuff in summer, when can you, dammit?
