THIS Thursday, team members from ABode hotels, Michael Caines Restaurants and Brownsword Hotels will cycle the 340 mile distance between Gidleigh Park and ABode Manchester.
Well sort of. But this is an intriguing idea.
Starting at 7am, the distance will be covered on two gym cycles with a live map displaying the miles covered.
Everyone will cycle for 30 minutes to cover the 340 mile distance passing by ABode Exeter, the Bath Priory, Lower Slaughter Manor, Buckland Manor and ABode Chester along the way.
The event is in aid of Hospitality Action, the charity that helps out people in catering that have fallen on hard times.
Christophe Hesbert, General Manager of Abode Chester says, “During Hospitality Action week we wanted to do further fundraising events to help raise awareness and to show support.
"Hospitality Action is the only charity that represents our industry and as such provides a vital support network for the people that work within it. We aim to raise £1000 on the day.”
The funds raised will make a real difference to those within the hospitality industry who face their own serious challenges on a daily basis.

Hospitality Action spends approximately £400,000 supporting nearly 1,500 people a year. 74% of those helped were below the age of 60 with 41% of the charities beneficiaries needing assistance after a life changing illness.
The charity also reaches approximately 11,000 students in 200 colleges and universities via the Ark Foundation which educates hospitality students, employees and management to the dangers of drug and alcohol dependency.
