WE love Stanley Chow here at Confidential. Not just because he designed the female silhouette illustration for our sister site Body Confidential many moons ago, but because in spite of his international success (including a Grammy nomination for his illustration work with the White Stripes), home is where the heart is.
Stanley described Manchester as ‘the city that I was brought up in, the city that I love’ in a recent interview with Creative Bloq. The design website is currently hosting a free wallpaper design of Manchester by Stanley.
Childlike in its appearance, it’s Stanley’s illustrated nod to his hometown. A playful take on Manchester’s skyline, it’s made up of city landmarks and other things of note to Stanley. There are the numbered buses he’s frequented, buildings and landmarks that have caught his eye and of course that old weather cliché.
The editor will be upset about that, he's banned us from ever mentioning the weather but the rest of us will let him off.
You can download the illustration for iPhone, iPad and desktop here.
