Adrian Ellis has nearly 25 years experince in the industry and joins the Salford hotel from his role as General Manager of oil-rich Azerbaijan's finest - the 318-room five-star Fairmont Baku.
Ellis has steered similarly prestigious ships in Budapest, Warsaw and Singapore after cutting his hospitality teeth at Manchester's Victoria & Albert Hotel in the 90s.

He was named one of the 'top hoteliers in the world' by the American Academy of Hospitality in 2008 and has a mantelpiece buckled beneath the weight of numerous other awards.
Norwich-born Ellis said: “I am absolutely delighted to be returning back to Manchester to oversee such an iconic property as The Lowry Hotel. Adrian EllisThe Lowry Hotel - the city's first five-star opened in 2001 - was sold by Rocco Forte Hotels to the Westmont Hospitality Group and its investment partner Mount Kellett Capital Management for a reported £40m in September 2014.
