THE Dockyard pub - one of Manchester's most highly-anticipated new openings (and we've had a few) - launched in Spinningfields Leftbank today.
Dockyard stocks enough ale to make even the most seasoned beardy-CAMRA-beero a little giddy
MediaCityUK's award-winning boozer has taken on the former-Cafe Rouge site down by the Irwell, joining Scene Indian, chef David Gale and The Kitchens in developer Allied London's rejuvenation of Spinningfields sleepy corner.
Allied London CEO, Mike Ingall, said this week that the new developments will "form the backbone of the new Leftbank neighbourhood, encapsulating its new, dynamic and forward thinking environment".
Spinningfields new boozer stocks enough ale to make even the most seasoned beardy-CAMRA-beero giddy with Salford's Seven Brothers and First Chop alongside brews from Manchester's Brightside, Shindigger, First Chop and Runaway labels; what's more, cask pints start from £3.15.
Dockyard Spinningfields also features a brand new menu with the big Miss Betty burger (£7.95), mustard meatloaf (£5.95) and pies of the day (£5.95) all on hand to soak up the ample suds.
The pub won the coveted Pub of the Year gong at last year's Manchester Food and Drink awards.
A fine addition indeed...
