The famous ‘Parrillada de Carne’ is back…and all dining dads receive a drink on the house
There’s nowhere better in Manchester to celebrate Fathers’ Day on Sunday 16 June than Lunya. Centrally located in the stunning Barton Arcade on Deansgate, the Catalan restaurant and bar will serve up its famous Fathers’ Day Meat Feast, Parrillada de Carne: a giant mixed grilled meat platter of Ibérico ribs, lamb chops, chicken, pincho moruno, chorizo, butifarra and morcilla, served with salad and patatas bravas. What’s more, there’s a free beer, wine or soft drink for all dining dads.
The Meat Feast costs just £24.95 per person and can be upgraded to include a tapas starter (habas picantes, manchego and membrillo, calamari, tomato bread or serrano ham) and dessert for £32.95.
Have a meat-loving dad? Early booking is advisable, with a £10 deposit per person.
For those of less carnivorous nature, fear not. Lunya’s full a la carte menu will be available throughout the day too, featuring plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices inspired by Catalonia’s rich culinary culture.
Independently owned, and family run, Lunya Manchester is home to the one of the biggest Spanish delis in the country (and the biggest online deli in the UK, offering over 1300 products), as well as the beautiful restaurant and its unique Spanish wine and gin bar.
Owners Peter and Elaine visit Spain regularly, seeking out the very best suppliers and uncovering some of the country’s most exquisite products; bought direct from farmers, fishers, meat curers, cheese makers and artisanal producers across the region. It is perhaps this, above all, that makes the Lunya experience so special.
