Weekdays or weekends, the newest food hall has it all
OBVIOUSLY, Society is the place to see and be seen – it’s also the place to eat, drink and be merry, and their food and frivolities extras do not disappoint.
First up, eats… Lunch is served with a 12-3pm offer Sunday through Thursday. Each of Society’s five independent kitchens has a special or two to choose from at just £10 a pop. Chaat Cart are practically giving away their chicken kati or halloumi Frankie wrap and gunpowder fries, while Dokes Pizzeria team pizzetta with fries, dip and salad for their midday meal deal. Katsu curry and gyoza dumplings are Manzoku’s offer, Slap & Pickle have the Personal Cheesus Burger (meat or vegan) and fries, and Yoki Social Table is all about authentic bibimbap and kimchi or Korean BBQ.
Bookings are being taken for the festive season, with plenty (not least the special brews from Vocation) to help get you into the Christmas spirit
Next, beats… Your weekend soundtrack is supplied by some of the best in the business, with resident DJs and special guests curated by the likes of Manchester party favourites Regal Disco and Pete Buckenham from London indie record label darling OntheCorner. Friday night kicks off at 6pm as Out In Society ramps up the high-energy heat to get the party started, with classic grooves and future funk following up next day at Saturday Social, and chilled eclectic vibes for Sunday’s Soul Recovery. No booking or tickets needed, just show up!
Right now, group bookings are being taken for the festive season, with plenty (not least the special brews from Vocation) to help get you into the Christmas spirit. Deck the street food halls, there are seasonal menus all round, from the Festive Fandango Burger, All-The-Trimmings Loaded Fries and Five Gold (onion) Rings from Slap & Pickle (who else!) to the inspired confit turkey leg, sausage stuffing and crispy sage pizza from Dokes Pizzeria.
On the cards at Chaat Cart are beetroot and onion bhaji baubles and chicken chettinad or Christmas-spiced vegan chole chickpeas with rice or flatbread. Behind the Manzoku window is a simple choice of meat or vegan katsu and sushi, while Yoki Social Table have prepared a whole lot for you to unwrap, including their famous bibimbap and six pieces of KFC (Korean fried chicken) or deep-fried cauli.
