If your little ones love cooking, this is the competition for you. Manchester Food and Drink Festival has teamed up with Metrolink to search for the region’s best mini chefs.
From Altrincham to Bury and St Werburgh’s Road to Oldham Mumps, they're looking for the next generation of master chefs, already showing a flair for gastronomy.
From simple ‘no bake’ cakes to more complicated dishes, if your young ones are regular helpers in the kitchen and enthusiastic about all things edible, MFDF wants to hear from you.
Winners will join the MFDF team for a private party at Croma in Manchester on Sunday 7 October. There they will get the chance to work with the Croma chefs to create a special pizza to enjoy in the restaurant with mum and dad, before taking the tram to MediaCityUK for a special visit to Imperial War Museum North.
All winners will receive free tram travel to and from Manchester city centre for themselves and parents as part of their prize on Sunday 7 October.
To enter, simply send your child’s favourite recipe and a photograph of you both with the finished dish to minichefs@foodanddrinkfestival.com by 28 September 2012.
