By the looks of things, the Albert Square Chop House will have this people-pulling factor in spades. It's the new pub, restaurant, boardroom and conference suite from the team behind the award-winning Mr Thomas's and Sam's Chop House. And it looks like it means business.
This is a beautiful, grade 2 listed historic building situated right in the middle of the city. With classic Chop House food and drink, a brilliant location, and a distinctive personality, it's infinitely more appealing than a soulless conference centre or chain hotel. The event facilities, meanwhile, are second to none.

They'll ensure the room and equipment is set up and ready for you, so in theory you can arrive at your conference with just a memory stick and get started. (Although as their conference packages include a breakfast bap, hot drink and newspaper for the organiser, you might want to arrive a little earlier than your guests.)
There are two beautifully-finished function suites available to hire, individually or together.
The Thomas Worthington Room
The Thomas Worthington Room is a traditional boardroom facing the Town Hall for up to 20 guests. Named after the building’s architect, it's a setting of character for conducting business and private entertaining.
A fireplace, lounge area and magnificent views are complemented by state-of-the-art facilities including a 50 inch plasma screen IPTV and fast, free WIFI/cabled internet. A private lift and your own butler service complete the impressive package.
The Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall is for larger events. It's named after the meeting space which gave the building its reason for being, and has been restored to cater for conferences of up to 100 delegates. The Memorial Hall combines the latest conference technology with fine, traditional furnishings. It offers total exclusivity – with its own private lift, bar, kitchen, and negotiable use of the boardroom as a break-out area.
Packages
Their flexible Day Delegate Package can be tailored to suit most corporate functions.
It includes room hire, the house AV equipment, a conference host, refreshments, a Great British Buffet Lunch, meeting equipment, high speed internet access, and more.
It costs from £60+VAT per person.
