COCKTAILS in the City returns to the grand surroundings of the Town Hall on 8 May 2014 for a night out of top-class cocktails, food, style and music.
The event brings together cocktail lovers and Manchester's finest bars for a celebration of the city's vibrant cocktail scene. Last year's show attracted their biggest-ever crowd of cocktail enthusiasts, and organisers say this year's will be better than ever.
As usual, there'll be pop-ups from the city's most exciting bars – this year's line-up includes Harvey Nichols, The Alchemist, Manchester House, Epernay, Mojo, Lucha Libre and Elixir alongside many others.
And like last year, there'll be interactive cocktail demos on the main stage, where you can learn how to stir and shake like a mixologist, and find out how to create some cocktail magic in your own home.
A brand new feature for this year is the Harvey Nichols Beauty SOS team. Here ladies can be pampered by nail, beauty and hair technicians while sipping on a cosmopolitan. The gentlemen may be more interested in the competition to win a Vesper Moped.
Add to that food from Almost Famous and music from Crazy P and Neil Diablo, and you've got yourself a brilliant night out.
Cocktails in the City founder Andrew Scutts said, “The interactive nature of the event made it a great success in 2012 and 2013. We’re delighted to welcome some new bars this year, and with the addition of food and music, it’s now a complete night out. With every bar creating a little “pop up” it’s a great way to learn more about the art of drinking and bars in your area.”
Cocktails in the City takes place on Thursday 8 May in the Great Hall, Manchester Town Hall from 6pm-10.30pm. Tickets are priced at just £10 including a cocktail, a cocktail book and entry.

20:00 – 20:30: Sours, Punches and Flips – Get to grips with three distinctive styles of cocktails and get creative with them.
21:00 – 21:30: Cocktails from the US of A. Amazing cocktails, American-style.
22.00 – 22.30: A very British affair – A selection of very British cocktails using some of Britain’s best boutique spirits.
