FOR feel-good, family-friendly fun this Bank Holiday, we have just the ticket. The golden ticket, in fact. Parents and children are invited to bond over a chocolate-inspired Film Afternoon Tea at the Second Floor, Harvey Nichols Manchester this Monday 5 May at 4pm.
You'll be served a full Afternoon Tea of marvellous miniatures, savoury and sweet, inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The Restaurant's Chefs are busy preparing a weird and wonderful menu including flower macaroons in a flower pot, strawberry marshmallow dipped in chocolate, mini toffee apple, pink cream soda with jelly drops, bubble gum mosses, blueberry cheese cake and mini oompa loompa scones.
Once you've devoured that little lot, it's time to watch the magical Tim Burton movie on the big screen, with Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. Plus you'll have a chance of winning your own Golden Ticket to receive a Wonka-licious surprise.
It's the perfect way to treat the children this Bank Holiday (and we bet you'll enjoy it as much as they do.)
The event is part of the Harvey Nichols Restaurant Festival which is being held at Harvey Nichols stores across the UK. Other festival highlights in Manchester include a Veuve Clicquot Champagne dinner, a foodie quiz and dinner hosted by our very own Gordo, and bar masterclasses with dinner or brunch. Get full details of the festival at our Harvey Nichols pages.
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory screening and Afternoon Tea takes place this Bank Holiday Monday 5 May at 4pm. Tickets are £17.95 per person. To buy tickets or find out more please call 0161 410 0270 or email secondfloor.reservations@harveynichols.com
