Kick out the meat and kick-start your heathy-eating plan
ANYTHING like us and you’ll be looking closely at your diet and lifestyle and considering a significant overhaul, even if you do only manage to stretch it out for a month or so.
Piling on the pounds and feeling flat and fatigued after overdoing it during the festive period might be one reason to want to eat yourself healthy again. Being determined to stick to those New Year’s resolutions you made just before the bells chimed might be another. Whatever, we don’t mind.
One eating-out tip we have if you’re signing up to Veganuary is to head on over to Manchester’s leading modern meat-free restaurant 1847
Here, we’re thinking we could do a bit for ourselves, while also doing a bit for the environment and equally for our furry friends, so we’ve been looking into Veganuary, a global campaign inspiring people to give meat- and dairy-free eating a go. You can pledge to go vegan for a month now, then try and keep it up throughout the rest of the year.
The Veganuary website is a really useful resource, promoting the benefits of a vegan lifestyle and showcasing the best vegan cuisine with helpful meal plans, nutritional pointers, recipes (from lip-smacking spaghetti Bolognese to decadent chocolate cake) and eating-out tips.
One eating-out tip we have if you’re signing up to Veganuary is to head on over to Manchester’s leading modern meat-free restaurant 1847, where half the delicious fine-dining dishes are vegetarian and half are vegan, and therefore also completely dairy free.
Another tip we have for Veganuary is that if you book a table at 1847 in advance via our special link below, you can halve the price of your food on Sundays through to Fridays during January. How’s that for a tasty offer?
