WITH the out-of-touch Fabio Capello out of the England job. Confidential’s Sleuth has taken on the role of England manager, at least for a bit.
This is his team to start the first match.
Best In World Football? He’s only picked four established players, Ashley Cole, Stephen Gerrard and Wayne Rooney (although he can't play for the first two games). Plus he's persuaded Paul Scholes to change his mind over international selection of a cup of tea and some jam sandwiches.
The rest of the squad also ignores the usual suspects of England selection.
It's youth all the way otherwise, with exciting talent such as Hart, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sturridge thrust into that first match.
The idea is to do a Germany and get the young ones in.
Even if we don't win let's have some fun on the way.
