With top bartenders Joe and Dan Schofield curating the cocktail list
FANS of the espresso martini will be intrigued to hear about this new pop-up cafe-bar set to open in Artisan on 2 October. Called Café Belvedere, it will be a coffee shop by day and a cocktail bar by night, with a menu of coffee-cocktails devised by top bartenders Joe and Daniel Schofield.
Manchester-born Joe recently won International Bartender of the Year after rising to the top of his profession at establishments including The Savoy’s American Bar and Singapore’s Tippling Club. His brother Daniel is also a much lauded bartender at Bethnal Green’s award winning French-inspired bar Coupette, which took home the gong for ‘Best New International Cocktail Bar at the Spirited Awards. They will open their first bar, Schofield's, here in Manchester in early 2019.
Bartending duo Joe and Daniel will collaborate with Belvedere vodka to curate the cocktail list for Café Belvedere. The drinks will emphasise the subtle sweetness and clean finish of Belvedere vodka, which is crafted using Polish Dankowskie Rye. Premium cold-pressed coffee liqueur Mr Black will also be used throughout the menu.
As well as a menu of creative coffee cocktails created by the Schofields, the menu will include the Belvedere Espress – an espresso martini served from a vintage-style syphon into espresso cups. Order one for your table: it's designed to be shared between six people and acts as a quick pick-me-up.
Café Belvedere will be open from Tuesday 2 October until Sunday 14 October, from 11am to 11pm, at Artisan, Spinningfields.
