Salvi’s in The Corn Exchange certainly has got into the Christmas spirit. This year the independent Italian delicatessen and restaurant will be bringing a Neapolitan Christmas straight to Manchester with the launch of its spectacular weekly festive shopping events.

Bringing a Neapolitan Christmas straight to Manchester

Every Thursday from 6pm onwards, shoppers will be able to browse around the store with a free glass of mulled wine and the chance to sample new seasonal products, including the traditional Panettone.

The very special Italian Christmas shopping nights will also showcase the finest Italian wines to compliment all those delicious family get-togethers you have planned. No-one quite does nibbles as well as the Italians and Salvi’s Christmas events create the perfect opportunity for customers to sample delicious seasonal treats such as cured meats, hams, salamis, anti-pasti, grissini, pastes and pestos.  For a buffet with a difference, make sure you include Salvi’s very special range of genuine buffalo mozzarella, smoked mozzarella and silky burrata.

Maurizio Cecco, owner of Salvi’s, has been bringing the stunning cuisine and produce of Naples and the Campania region to Manchester for over four years. “Christmas is a very special time in Italy”, he told us, “and we have gathered all our favourite festive food and drinks straight from Italy and brought them to Manchester for all our customers to enjoy.  The shopping events will give everyone a taste of what it’s like to celebrate Christmas in Italy in their own homes. All that is left for me to say is Buon Natale!”

There will also be the opportunity to view and place orders for the newly launched Salvi’s Christmas hampers stuffed full of traditional Italian festive food and drinks. Customers will also be able to create their own bespoke hamper to suit friends, colleagues and loved ones with particular tastes.

The seasonal shopping events will take place on the following dates from 6pm onwards:

24th November

1st December

8th December

15th December

22nd December

The warm, welcoming atmosphere of Salvi’s is hard to leave behind – especially when it’s cold, miserable and dark outside, so Christmas evening shoppers are invited to stay and enjoy a two course dinner for only £12.95.

The specially curated Christmas menu is now also available to book for groups and parties - 3 courses £29.95 and 4 courses £34.95.

If you can’t make it down to the delicatessen, Salvi’s are about to launch their online shop, so customers will soon be able to buy all their favourite Italian foods from the comfort of their own home.
