THERE’S little better cause of celebration than boasting the best value champagne in Manchester, just as party season approaches. And that’s exactly what Rosso did last night, at an opulent gathering which saw the restaurant’s Grade II listed building garlanded with wreaths, fairy lights and a massive red bow on its facade.
They’re certainly pulling out all the stops
Guests sipped on bottles of Bottega to start, before sampling a selection of champagnes from the new Bubbles Menu; from Veuve Rose to Bollinger. With a glittering tree stood next to the fireplace, the Victorian dining room was on fine form: akin to a festive grotto, buzzing with (very) merry guests.
Bites included arancini balls, succulent lamb chops, prawn shots and tomato and mushroom bruschetta - with guests also receiving a 200ml bottle of Bottega as a special gift to take away. It was also a good chance for everyone to peruse the indulgent Christmas menu, which spans spiced parsnip soup to fresh turkey ballotine and prime beef fillet with mushroom fondant.
Speaking of which, Rosso has another tempting offer aside from its very competitive bubbles. Book your Christmas meal from Monday to Thursday for a party of twelve or more and each guest will receive a complimentary 200ml bottle of Bottega.
