PROMOTION
A new scheme to encourage retailers back into Bolton town centre is receiving rave reviews from its first recipient.
They’re keen to attract premium cafés and restaurants, spas and beauticians, and high quality shops selling everything from toys to music to organic products.
Elite Dress Agency, the first business to take up help from Bolton Council’s grant scheme, has opened a boutique selling pre-owned designer and vintage fashion.
They’re keen to attract premium cafés and restaurants, spas and beauticians, and high quality shops selling everything from toys to music to organic products.
Elite had a retail outlet in the town 15 years ago and is now making a welcome return. The Bolton store will be Elite’s third, adding to their established shops on King Street West, Manchester and Market Street, Altrincham.
Elite sells good quality second-hand designer clothing and accessories at high street prices. Said company director and Bolton store manager Christine Lister: “The offer of financial help from the council was a big factor in our decision to return to the town.
“The support from the council has been amazing and the grant is a huge help. It’s allowed us to get everything up and running the way we wanted. We’ve been able to use local companies and have now also recruited for two part-time posts. We’re really pleased to be back and are now looking forward to the future.”
Grants of up to £20,000 and over £20,000 are available under the scheme, which welcomes applications from independent, unique businesses. They’re keen to attract premium cafés and restaurants, spas and beauticians, and high quality shops selling everything from toys to music to organic products.
Free business support is available throughout the process to help applicants make their move to Bolton town centre a lasting success.
Your business may be new to Bolton or you may be based on the periphery of the town and want to relocate into the heart of the town centre. Bolton Council also welcomes applications from entrepreneurs with a new business idea rather than an established business.
