If you haven’t been recently, now’s the perfect time to visit Bolton Market. Over the past year there have been a number of improvements to the building and now you can enjoy the festive atmosphere of the award-winning food halls, the lifestyle hall and the traditional outdoor market, all cosily covered up for Christmas.
The food at Bolton Market has all the ingredients for a feast that’s fit for any King. The Radio 4 Food and Farming Awards voted it Best Food Market because of the great range of products on offer: fresh fish; locally sourced meat and cheeses; exotic fruit and vegetables; and Mediterranean deli produce.

The traditional market is crammed with bargains, making it the ideal place to do all your Christmas shopping. There’s everything from electrical goods and leather goods, to top branded cosmetics, clothes and jewellery, not forgetting plenty of sweet treats to fill those stockings.

Christmas at Bolton Market
For some real Christmas sparkle, why not be a part of the Christmas Cracker Family Fun Day at the market on Saturday 6th December? Between 10am and 3pm there’ll be; craft sessions to make Christmas decorations and gifts (suitable for ages 2 years or over); face painting; cake decorating; live music; and a Golden Ticket Grabber cubicle where you have a chance to win a fabulous prize (suitable for ages 5 years and over). There’s also the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Bolton as he joins in the fun from 11am to 12 noon. And all activities are free!
