It's the last time to catch this exhibit of archive and contemporary photographs of Manchester’s 20th century urban fabric. Based across two venues, Castlefield's Kelso Place and The Museum of Transport Greater Manchester, the exhibition is divided into four parts: Hulme; Manchester 60s & 70s; Sacred Suburbs and Mooch. Highlights include photographs of Hulme in the 1970s (when the crescents were new) and contemporary photographs taken by Stephen Marland whilst 'mooching' around Greater Manchester.

Following on from successful movies 'Despicable Me', the new movie will follow the journey of the Minions (evolved from single-celled yellow organisms at the dawn of time) in their search for a new evil master after a continual series of unsuccessful masters, from T.Rex to Napoleon. Without a master to grovel for, the Minions fall into a deep depression, but one minion, Kevin, has a plan; accompanied by his pals Stuart and Bob, Kevin sets forth to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. Their search leads them to Scarlet Overkill, the world's first-ever super-villainess.

intu Trafford Centre welcomes Diversity stars Perri and Jordan for the Everyone’s Invited festival. Taking place this Saturday and Sunday (27-28 June) between 12pm and 5pm, the action packed celebration of dance will be hosted by Diversity favourites Perri and Jordan and will feature performances from Sky TV’s ‘Got To Dance’. Expect flips and tricks from hip-hop star Chuck, 'fierce' moves from all female street dance crew Boadicea, tap dancing from Lee ‘the tap’ Hoofer and watch Bitter Harvest perform their amazing contemporary ballet.

It's been a great few years for the performer, winning his ninth Grammy, a Golden Globe and Academy award for his celebrated song-writing skills. Legend is set to perform his hits, from 'All Of Me' and 'Ordinary People'.

The Manchester Children’s Book Festival (MCBF) will, this year, see its first outing as an annual event. Following the success of last year’s festival, organisers – including Poet Laureate Dame Carol Ann Duffy – have bowed to popular pressure and put together another packed programme of events to keep kids of all ages happy and happily reading this summer. Taking place over venues all around Manchester from 26 June – 5 July, the 2015 festival will borrow its theme of ‘Time Travel’ from the hilarious, and hugely successful, Compton Valance series of books by author and TV presenter, Matt Brown. Matt, himself, will be on hand as part of the MCBF Family Fun Day on Saturday 27, to put Compton fans through their paces, with time traveling quizzes, code-breaking and generally saving the universe.

Manchester-based artist Stefanie Trow has her first solo exhibition in Manchester over the summer months. Trow's 'Deeper Understanding' is a series of figurative works focusing on the human form and portraiture with a specific emphasis on the female form through the exploration of colour, composition and mark making. She uses her paintings as a way of interpreting her surroundings, relationships, thoughts and feelings.

Saint Selfie and Saint Sat Nav - these are but few of the 'later-day' saints featured in a humorous exhibition at The John Rylands library. Later-Day Saints brings the medieval cult of saints into the contemporary world, offering a snapshot of modern life. The show, which ends this Monday, will see Alan Birch produces a new contemporary saint from a selection of 80 monoprints featuring modern day obsessions from the Kindle to the Olympic Torch. You can even suggest your own Later-day saint to 'join the brotherhood'.
