IF you love classic musicals but think you’ve already seen all the big shows, check out the dazzling new production of Barnum that's coming to the Palace Theatre from 4-15 November.
Here's your chance to see this exuberant musical in Manchester in a fast, funny, emotional production that will entertain you from start to end.
It stars Brian Conley as the legendary showman P.T. Barnum, and is produced by musical big-hitter Cameron Mackintosh and Chichester Festival Theatre.
In Barnum's opening run at the Theatre in the Park in July 2013 it played to almost 70,000 people, and is going on its first national tour this autumn.
It follows the irrepressible imagination and dreams of Phineas T Barnum, America’s Greatest Showman. Barnum lit up the world with the colour, warmth and excitement of his imagination and finally teamed up with J A Bailey to create Barnum and Bailey’s Circus – the Greatest Show on Earth.
The story also tells of his marriage to Chairy, played by award-winning actress Linzi Hateley, who looked at the world from the opposite end of the spectrum.
Cy Coleman’s wonderfully exuberant score includes the hits 'Come Follow The Band', 'The Colours Of My Life' and 'There Is A Sucker Born Ev’ry Minute'.
Brian Conley most recently scored a huge success as Fagin in the national tour of Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Oliver! On TV he is best known for playing Doug Digby in The Grimleys, his ITV1 show The Brian Conley Show, and An Audience with Brian Conley. Olivier-nominated Linzi Hateley has starred on Broadway, in the West End, with the RSC, and at the National Theatre.
Barnum was a smash hit when it was first shown on Broadway in 1980, starring Glenn Close and Jim Dale. Here's your chance to see this exuberant musical in Manchester in a fast, funny, emotional production that will entertain you from start to end.
Tickets are priced from £19.50-£70.
