"MY HOME is your home," welcomed Bollywood legend Asha Bhosle at the launch of the first Asha's restaurant in Manchester.
A specially selected choice of canapes showcasing Asha's unique take on modern Indian cooking was served
The most recorded artist in music history (something like 12,000) was surrounded by guests, including former Coronation Street actress Shobna Gulati, at the much-awaited launch of the grand new modern Indian restaurant on Peter Street.
Asha Bhosle's new 'home' is a converted Grade II-listed building spread across two floors and over 6000 sq ft, and features a 100-cover restaurant and a dedicated 'Bolli Bar'.
Asha's Manchester - fronted by Peter Warden (formerly of Individual Restaurants: RBG and Piccolino) - is the latest to join the acclaimed chain, which first opened in Dubai thirteen years ago and now has ten restaurants across the Middle East and one in Birmingham. The restaurant has featured in the Michelin Guide eight times.
To celebrate the opening and its star guest, a specially selected choice of canapes showcasing Asha's individual take on modern Indian cooking were served, including a delicious and unique guinea fowl Angar tikka. The downstairs Bolli Bar was ablaze with spice infused cocktails, crafted by Manchester cocktail expert Jamie Jones who helped devise Asha's standout cocktail menu.
