An immersive virtual reality expedition through ancient Egypt has arrived in Manchester.
Horizon of Khufu: Journey to Ancient Egypt is an award-winning VR experience created by Excurio and presented by Fever, offering audiences the rare opportunity to explore the mysteries of the Great Pyramid from within.
To ensure the highest level of historical accuracy, the experience has been developed in partnership with Peter Der Manuelian, Professor of Egyptology specializing in the study of funerary architecture, particularly the Giza necropolis, and his team from the Giza Project at Harvard University.
Using state-of-the-art VR headsets and full-room motion tracking, guests are transported to the Giza Plateau to witness the construction, purpose, and grandeur of the Great Pyramid. Guided by your virtual Egyptologist, visitors explore royal chambers seldom seen, uncover the rituals of the pharaohs, and learn about the workers, architects, and priests who shaped the legacy of Ancient Egypt’s Golden Age.
