PANTO season is almost upon us. This year, the Opera House is presenting fairytale classic Aladdin. And the cast has more than a few familiar faces.

Cold Feet's John Thomson will play the evil Abanazar, while Loose Women and Benidorm favourite Sherrie Hewson will appear as The Genie of the Ring.

Ben Adams from 1990s pop sensation A1 will bring his boyish looks to the role of Aladdin, and one of the best dames in the business Eric Potts will star as Widow Twankey.

Aladdin runs at Manchester Opera House from 9 December 2016 until 8 January 2017.

Need a child-friendly restaurant near the Opera House?

Family-run restaurant Per Tutti is about five minutes' walk from Manchester Opera House, and ticks all the boxes for child-friendly eating out.

Their children's menu (see below) is made with fresh, good-quality ingredients, and includes a 'build your own pizza' option that's popular with the little ones.
