On Saturday, Confidential were invited to the main marquee to have afternoon tea hosted by celebrity chef and actress Lisa Faulkner, British Bake Off finalist Luis Troyano and entrepreneur duo Phil and Omar from Dragon's Den.
After winning Celebrity Masterchef in 2010, Lisa has turned her head to all things food but describes herself as a cook, not a chef. Her live demonstration had us questioning this as she skilfully prepared a tray of cherry financiers and some bacon, leek and cheese bread and butter puddings which had us all dribbling at the mouth.
We tucked in to a variety of sandwiches and cakes provided by award winning pattisier Slattery and sipped on Phil and Omar's luxury tea brand Phom as well as a glass of fizz, though
Confidential couldn't quite stomach theirs after being drowned in the stuff by Gordo at the Gala dinner the night before. The event allowed guests to watch and pick up cooking tips as well as partake in question and answer sessions, fun yet informative. We enjoyed it very much.
