THERE'S two lunches at Kaleido to be won if you're picked out of the hat on this one. Lunch for two for your boss, and lunch for two for you. What a happy office you'll be.
The views, the cracking food, and the central location mean it's ideal for entertaining clients
Kaleido is the great glass restaurant in the sky. The stylish new opening on top of the National Football Museum. It's spread over the top two floors, giving great vistas of the city centre and beyond.
The view has pulling power but it's the food we're hearing most about here. Contemporary British dishes sing with flavour. The Oxtail and kidney pudding is tender and rich, while the Lancashire hot pot with salt baked veg is a robust, satisfying dish.
There's global influences in there too – such as in the Stone bass and red prawn curry, and the Duck breast with sweet potato and spiced aubergine.
The guy at the top (official title, 'food director') is Frank Bordoni – the classically-trained TV chef. The chap actually delivering the goods day-to-day is talented local chef Paul Riley who has worked in some of the UK’s top restaurants including Nutters in Rochdale.
The views, the cracking food, and the central location mean it's ideal for entertaining clients, especially football-loving ones who'll enjoy a look round the museum below afterwards. Kaleido is the new place to take out-of-town guests who you want to impress with the general wonder of Manchester.
Kaleido also has a cocktail bar, and welcomes in people for coffee and dessert as well as lunch and dinner.
In this competition you'll win two three-course lunches for two people each – one for your boss and one for you. Enter now by clicking the red button.
