IF you want to meet someone, but don't fancy the stress of speed dating or an awkward, one-on-one internet date, here's a new option for you.
Wine-tasting dating lets you meet single people in a relaxed way, with the aid of a glass of wine or four to get the conversations flowing.
Dating events company Across a Crowded Room is bringing the idea to Manchester, with the next event being held at Grinch on 16 July (ages 28-40).
The wine-tasting events are structured so you have the opportunity to talk to everyone there, and the group format makes it feel much more natural than a heavily regimented dating night.
The ticket price of £25 includes four glasses of wine, hot and cold bar snacks, and a blind tasting quiz. Plus the opportunity to use the ‘dating cards’ to be put in touch with the people you’d like to see again.
