THE twentieth Manchester Jazz Festival takes centre stage in the city to celebrate twenty summers of jazz from Friday 31 July – Sunday 9 August.

For this landmark year, Manchester’s longest running music festival has an amazing programme lined up featuring 79 gigs, with over 400 of the most talented jazz artists, from across the UK and abroad, performing in ten iconic venues for ten music-filled days.

With UK and world premières and many free events there is something for every age and taste. Thwaites Festival Square in Albert Square is the hub of the festival with Thwaites Festival Pavilion, Thwaites Festival Bar and food outlets with live music everyday from lunchtime ‘til late. Inspiral Carpets hero and XFM DJ, Clint Boon, has been working with brewer, Daniel Thwaites, to create a special edition beer for MJF 2015 which will be available at the Festival Bar.

Headline acts will perform each evening in Thwaites Festival Pavilion and Confidential has two pairs of tickets to giveaway to Terri Shaltiel and the Soultroopers on Saturday 1st August. Premiering songs from her debut album, Terri delivers a mix of jazz, gospel, reggae, blues and soul. Her music is inspired by Etta James and Aretha Franklin and by her own Israeli-Spanish-Turkish heritage.
