EARLIER this month, Harvey Nichols Manchester presented their bi-annual fashion show. It was a stunning evening of autumn/winter 2012 fashion, perfectly complemented by hair and makeup by Urban Retreat and Bobbi Brown.
Behind the scenes, the glam squad put their heads together to come up with a retro theme for the models – including Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model cycle seven winner, Jade Thompson. View all the photos from the show here.

Pinning hair strategically to create tousled waves for that Hollywood starlet look, Mark Izzard and the Urban Retreat team were clearly inspired by silver screen icons such as Rita Hayworth and Dorothy Dandridge.
He said: “For autumn/winter 2012, we wanted to create waves that can be worn in various ways suiting women of any age and style. We wanted to provide a luxurious feel for the styling, in order to sit in with the Harvey Nichols brand and customer. The inspiration came from a whisper of the 1930s, 1950s and the 1970s, alike to the catwalks for the upcoming season.”

Vibrant reds and deep browns were the palate chosen by Bobbi Brown senior beauty team artist George Pelosi and her team - one of the big looks for the autumn season.
She said: “We kept the makeup clean, fresh and modern to complement all of the designers’ collections. The models’ skin looked natural, fresh and stayed colour true all day long due to the new Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF15. Eyes and cheeks were kept classic and effortless. The focus was on the lips with Red Carpet from the new Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Colour taking centre stage. This lipstick makes a big statement – it combines the look of a classic matte lip with incredible wearability for all women.”
