LINEN restaurant at Manchester235 has got a talented new head chef – Jarda Hlavsa. And he's started his reign there by unveiling a brand new a la carte menu.
Jarda's credentials include three-years at a private culinary college, perfecting his skills at the Radisson Alcron Hotel (the first hotel in the Czech Republic to receive a Michelin star) and rising to head chef at the Manchester Mal.
To celebrate the launch of his new menu, Manchester235 is giving away a three-course meal for two at Linen, with a bottle of wine.
The winner will dine from the new menu, which Jarda has given a 'Back to British' theme. It's strong on local produce, seasonal flavours and lively influences from the Continent.
Think delights such as a roasted breast of guinea fowl with butternut squash and pancetta risotto, and the Linen salad of asparagus, radish, broad beans, fennel, ricotta, sun blushed tomatoes and crispy leaves.
Desserts are simple and sophisticated – orange and lemon tart with candied orange, and rich chocolate tart with Chantilly cream to name a few.
