IF one of your New Year's Resolutions was to liven up your recipe repertoire, this is the prize for you. It's two places on a Zouk Cookery Class plus two spice tins, an apron and a recipe pack, worth £210 in total.

In February's classes, dishes such as Salmon Pakora, Kashmiri Lamb Kebab and Goan Red Chicken Curry are all on the menu.

Zouk's Cookery School is held on Saturdays in their award-winning restaurant off Oxford Road. They set it up in response to questions from customers who wanted a better understanding of Pakistani and Indian cuisine. (Questions along the lines of, 'Why don't my curries taste this good at home?')

So Zouk asked their top chefs to share their secrets in interactive, easy-to-follow lessons designed for all levels, from the novice to the more experienced.

Each class covers different dishes, but they all include authentic grilled starters, beautiful curries and popular sides. In February's classes, dishes such as Salmon pakora, Kashmiri lamb kebab and Goan red chicken curry are all on the menu.

The day ends with a tasting session where you can sample the delights of your self-created Indian feast. You'll leave with the confidence and skills to recreate the recipes at home – it's time to start planning your next dinner party.

The half day Indian cookery classes cost £80 per person and can be booked at Zouk's website.
