WHEN you think of a casino restaurant, you might imagine flashing lights, noise, and glitzy décor. You probably don't think elegant, restrained and serene. But that's what you get at Linen at Manchester235 and that's why we're fans.

Set aside from the casino floor, Linen's dark wooden flooring and perfectly-laid tables create a classic dining room with modern touches, where you can happily linger over dinner and wine.

The food is contemporary British and has received a shot in the arm since new head chef Jarda arrived. He was previously head chef at the Manchester Malmaison, and learned his trade at one of the Czech Republic's most renowned hotels for food, the Radisson Alcron.

His menu features dishes such as Cumbrian lamb t-bones with baby spinach and sautéed Chanterelle mushrooms, and Chorizo crusted fillet of cod with sautéed baby potatoes and sauce vierge. Contemporary British food with a focus on seasonal produce.

The dessert list features delights such as the Fromage blanc and vanilla mousse with crispy dark chocolate and summer berries, or the equally indulgent, Rich chocolate tart with Chantilly cream.

In this competition you can win a three course dinner for two at Linen including a bottle of house wine. To enter, just click the red button.
