LYME Park, with its commanding views of Kinder Scout, bracing walks on the estate and 1400-acre historic deer park, really is the great outdoors.

This winter you can retrace the footsteps of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy with Lyme Park’s Christmas exhibition, The Only Way is Pemberley, which celebrates the 200th anniversary of Pride and Prejudice. There are also carols and an audience with Father Christmas.

Events and activities take place throughout the year. To find out more visit the National Trust website.

Manchester Confidential is offering you the chance to win a half day with a National Trust ranger at Lyme Park, getting up close to the herds of red and fallow deer, and watching them being fed.
