Buy Art Fair is offering one lucky Manchester Confidential reader the chance to win a pair of VIP preview evening tickets and a limited edition print of Badman Pan by urban artist Tom Lewis.
The Print: Badman Pan by Tom Lewis. Prison could have been a scary place for a vulnerable little bear like Pan. 'Luckily' for this little chap, he fell under the protection of the notorious Toxic Ron. The odd prison tattoo here, the occasional favour there and bish bash bosh, Pan becomes a badman. He now runs security for Ron's business interests.
The Artist: Tom Lewis is a painter, although from time to time is seduced by the prospect of realising his characters in three dimensions, in the form of the Mysterious Burobbu sculptures. Building on layers of invented mythology, borrowed stories and nonsensical meaning, his aesthetic is born from a love of Japanese wood block prints, urban texture, digital imaging and colour. He is not sure if Digital Imaging is what he means, but he's said it now. He is also uncomfortable when writing in the third person.
The Preview: Be among the first to see and buy the original art from 100 exhibiting artists and galleries with prices from £50 to £5000+. Join us for complimentary drinks as you browse the work at your leisure on Thursday 24 September 17:30 – 21:00.
