IMAGINE spending a morning at an Italian food market, filling your shopping basket with the finest charcuterie, the freshest mozzarella, and the tastiest olives. A gourmet hamper from Salvi's Deli recreates what you might buy – giving you everything you need to create a Neopolitan style feast at home.
Salvi's Deli in the Corn Exchange and Salvi's Cucina on John Dalton Street are a gift to Italian food fans in the city. Products are hand-sourced by Salvi's owner Maurizio, and imported direct from Italy every week. It's this focus on provenance that makes their restaurant downstairs in the basement stand-out (the skill of their chefs helps too, of course).
The deli is best known for its creamy buffalo mozzarella from Campania (surely the best available in Manchester) but they also sell beautiful pastries and desserts, olives, meats, artisan pastas, biscuits, and some fantastic wines.
Salvi's will select the best produce available that week to go in the winner's hamper. It's a real taste of Italy, and it could be yours.
