IF you want fine-dining, you don't normally think 'Rusholme'. But with the arrival of Ziya Asian Grill last month, that's about to change.
The streamlined menu is unusual and imaginative.
With its understated design and modern Indian menu, this new opening wouldn't be out of place amongst the chic eateries of Spinningfields. The food is from a head chef who learned his skills in five-star hotels, the décor is luxurious but not ostentatious, and the service is first-rate from start to end. They've gone all out to impress here and it seems to be working, with positive early reviews and even an appearance on BBC One's Saturday Kitchen.
But it’s what the customers think that really matters to the restaurant team. Ziya is currently ranked 12 out of 1647 Manchester restaurants on TripAdvisor, and has an impressive 5 out of 5 rating. Read the reviews here.
While many will see Ziya as a 'special occasion' restaurant, foodies will want to go just to experience a new side of Indian dining.
The streamlined menu is unusual and imaginative, aiming to challenge perceptions rather than offer the same old dishes you see in every other Curry Mile restaurant. There are favourites for the traditionalists but dishes such as the Coastal Prawn Curry, and the Murgh ki Boothan (a chargrilled chicken dish from the desserts of Rajasthan) will really wake up your tastebuds.
With this competition, you can explore their fine wines and exotic cocktails as well as the food. With options including Fig and Ginger Dakka, a Kumquat Sour, and a Cogoa (layered vanilla vodka with cacao and ginger cream) a pre or post dinner drink is a must here.
The prize is £150 to spend at Ziya Asian Grill in August - to be in with a chance of winning, click the red Enter The Competition button.
