LEND Lease has begun construction of 102 new homes at Potato Wharf, its latest residential development in the city.
“We will be providing much-needed new housing which will go on sale to prospective homeowners in the North West in 2014.”
Along with the 215 apartments recently completed in the Green Quarter, this will bring the number of new homes in Manchester built by Lend Lease to almost 1500.
The Potato Wharf development, situated in Castlefield, will comprise 102 new apartments built over eight levels. There will be a mix of one and two bedroom properties, all with open-plan living areas, high-spec kitchens and sustainable design to reduce energy costs for residents. Many homes will also include private balconies with views of the canal below and the Manchester skyline.
Richard Cook, Lend Lease’s Head of Residential said: “We will be providing much-needed new housing which will go on sale to prospective homeowners in the North West in 2014.
“Potato Wharf has excellent transport links – including both road and rail – and its canal-side location will be popular with buyers.”
