British Weightlifting Championships

The British Weightlifting Championships is touching down in Manchester this August. You'll get to watch world-class athletes compete for mammoth titles and show you what they're really made of when it comes to lifting metal. Cheer for your favourites and be inspired.

Festa Italiana Manchester

The Luna Cinema

The UK's top outdoor cinema experience is returning to Tatton Park in Knutsford for another summer season of film favourites to watch by twilight. Films at this year's Luna Cinema include award-winning blockbusters like Top Gun: Maverick and The Great Gatsby as well as sing-along favourites like Dirty Dancing and Mamma Mia. Our Place Supper Club at Manchester Art Gallery

Our Place are returning to Manchester Art Gallery for their renowned supper club. Peterloo Massacre Tour

Two hundred years ago an event in Manchester defined the British struggle for democracy. 16 August 1819 was a the day that coined a phrase and stirred a nation. The tour takes in the key locations associated with the mass protest meeting in central Manchester that ended in death and mayhem. 'If you want Peterloo explained with verve, wit and real knowledge then this is the easily the best tour around.'

Shrek the Musical

Based on the Oscar-winning film by DreamWorks, the Broadway and West End smash hit Shrek the Musical is coming to Opera House Manchester. The East Manchester Community Festival 

For the fourth year running the Royal Exchange Theatre sets up its eco-friendly mobile theatre, The Den, at The East Manchester Academy in this two week celebration of Manchester’s creative communities and the importance of access to art in the places you live. To make sure everyone can attend all tickets are free, or £1 to reserve a spot.
