THE Co-operative Group has pushed back the date for occupation of its new Manchester head office until the New Year.
1 Angel Square – the £100 million building which is phase one of the NOMA redevelopment in the city centre - was due to start welcoming staff in the next few weeks, but a delay in the installation and testing of certain mechanical, electrical and IT systems means the move could not begin before the busy trading period around Christmas.
Martyn Hulme, Managing Director, The Co-operative Estates, said: “One of the key elements of the moving process is that we maintain business continuity – particularly during the busiest period for our food operation – and as such we will now start the move in the New Year.”
Last week published a photo-gallery of the new building here.
