The event will feature 11 traders with food from South America and the Caribbean
A Latin food festival featuring 11 different street food traders is coming to the Baltic Beer Garden next weekend. The event is organised by The Twins Flavour, two twin sisters who run a Colombian catering business in Liverpool.
Dre's sweet treats include cheesecakes, brownies, cookie pies, and a signature Barbadian black rum cake
The Twins Flavour Liverpool have teamed up with a host of local businesses representing Latin American, Caribbean and Spanish influenced street food. There will also be entertainment from Justino y Salsa Mayor, DJ Martin, and DJ Kevin Plata.
Traders at the Latin food festival on Sunday 29 May include Noso, the Venezuelan restaurant in North Liverpool, Esto es Espana, and Desserts by Dre.
Noso’s reputation for authentic Venezuelan street food - including arepas, empanadas and tequeños - has put it on the Liverpool foodie map. Owners Miguel Pereira and Jean D’Amico met in Liverpool and decided to bring something of their love for Venezuelan food to the takeaway and restaurant in Fazakerley.
Mr Paella and the team at Esto es España on Hope Street serve traditional Spanish food inspired by chef Andres' hometown of Valencia. Expect a range of Mediterranean street food, from paella to tapas dishes like albondigas and chorizo in cider.
Andre Carrington is better known as cake-maker extraordinaire, Desserts by Dre. The Barbados-born chef took his first leap towards becoming a pro-baker at the Makers Market in Liverpool. His sweet treats include cheesecakes, brownies, cookie pies, doughnuts, and a signature Barbadian black rum cake. We can’t wait to see what Dre brings to the yard for the Latin food festival.
