The brand has earned a rep for its Neapolitan style pizza
Rudy’s needs no introduction as some of the best Neapolitan pizza in town, celebrating the craft of traditional pizza-making (and scoffing). What does need bringing to your attention as a matter of urgency though is that you’ll soon be able to get your fix down at the Albert Dock too.
The team have loved serving our Neapolitan pizza in Liverpool, and we hope this new site will be another welcoming addition for the city.
We first heard whispers of a third Rudy’s Pizza in Liverpool way back in February, but now it’s definitely happening. The neighbourhood pizzeria will bring its relaxed dining concept to the former site of The Leather Satchel Company on the Royal Albert Dock from Monday 12 December.
Rudy’s restaurants pride themselves on passionate pizzaiolo’s intent on following the traditions and artistry of pizza from Naples – the birthplace of pizza. Dough is made on site every day, giving it 24 hours to double ferment and just 60 seconds to cook, leaving it soft and floppy with a leopard patterned cornichon (crust).
Specialities include ancozzese affumicata, a "white pizza" with chilli flakes, smoked mozzarella, Tuscan sausage, friarielli (wild broccoli) and olive oil, or calabrese with spicy soft Calabrain sausage that melts into the pizza.
Rudy's Pizza first opened in Manchester's own 'Little Italy' in Ancoats in 2015, launching their first Liverpool restaurant on Castle Street in 2018. The second Liverpool Rudy’s opened on Bold Street in 2021. They have since expanded with branches of Rudy’s in Birmingham, Leeds and Soho in London.
Parent company Mission Mars operates the Rudy’s, Albert’s Schloss, Albert Hall, Albert’s Schenke and Zumhof brands.
Emma Kidd, general manager of Rudy’s Albert Dock, said, “We look forward to opening our doors in the Royal Albert Dock from Monday 12 December. The team have loved serving our Neapolitan pizza in Liverpool, and we hope this new site will be another welcoming addition for the city.”
