Cheshire’s historic Quarry Bank will once again be transformed by a spine-tingling illuminated trail
Quarry Bank’s splendidly spooky Halloween Trail returns this October, with an exciting lineup of tricks and treats to discover.
Between 23 October and 1 November, guests can expect more chills, thrills and ghostly spectacles than ever before. From 3.5m tall skeletons with flickering red eyes to a Carnivorous Garden where Venus flytraps and other sinister plants seem to bite back, there’s a little bit of frightful fun for everyone to enjoy.
On the path beside the Mill, the Headless Horseman rides once more, accompanied by a mysterious lady roaming on foot. Inside the Mill itself, a chilling welcome awaits from the sinister Georgian Mill Owner, echoing through the darkness with a threatening laugh.
Outside the Mill, visitors can marvel at the Fire Gardener’s Ritual - a dazzling fire performance by Let’s Circus which sees three spellbinding artists use flames to transform dead energy into new life, channeling the power of forgotten gardeners who once toiled in the Mill grounds.
Those feeling frightfully peckish can tuck into Trick or Treat Pizzas, Heaven & Hell Burgers and Vampire Dogs, all delivered by Freemans Event Partners. Wash it all down with a decadent hot chocolate or hot toddy that’ll keep you warm as you soak up the spooky atmosphere.
Matthew Findlay, Director of Live Experiences at RG Live, said: "Quarry Bank is a place where history already whispers from every wall, but at Halloween those whispers turn into something far more chilling. This year’s trail draws on the site’s fascinating — and sometimes unsettling — past, filling the grounds and the mill with ghostly figures, towering skeletons, and strange sights that feel like they’ve stepped straight out of the shadows of history. Against the backdrop of this remarkable former Mill, visitors can expect an immersive journey where light, sound, and storytelling combine to create an unforgettable Halloween experience for all ages."
General Manager at Quarry Bank, Roz Stone, added: “We were delighted by the reaction to our very first Halloween at Quarry Bank last year. We are excited to partner with RG Live again so that people can enjoy a night of spine-tingling thrills, chills, and glowing surprises - all set amongst the Mill and the grounds of Quarry Bank.”
Tickets are priced at £10-14 for children and £15-18 for adults and are available to book now.
