The Head Sommelier of the Knutsford fine dining spot has risen through the ranks of the prestigious awards
Knutsford fine dining restaurant, LI~LY by Aiden Byrne, has announced that their Head Sommelier, Garry Clark, has once again been recognised as one of Harpers Top 50 Sommeliers 2025 - an accolade which celebrates the very best sommeliers in the UK.
Last year, Garry debuted the list at No.34, but has since climbed the ranks, securing this year’s No.27 spot. This recognition highlights not only his exceptional knowledge and skill but also his dedication to enhancing every guest’s dining experience at LI~LY.
Chef Patron Aiden Byrne said “We are incredibly privileged to work alongside one of the best sommeliers in the UK. Garry’s talent and vision allow us to elevate our wine offering and take the restaurant to the next level, creating an experience for our guests that goes far beyond the plate.”
On receiving the award, Garry Clark said: “I feel both humbled and proud to be included in this year’s list and especially delighted to have risen seven places from my debut at No. 34 last year. As sommeliers, our role is to guide guests on their journey, encouraging them to discover the incredible wines we are fortunate to have access to here in the UK. At Palé Hall, I was passionate about championing domestic wines from England and Wales, and I’m excited to continue that work with Aiden at LI~LY - particularly as it aligns so naturally with the ethos of his menu and his first cookbook”
